The Journal of Clinical Imaging Science (JCIS) is an open-access double-blinded peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality manuscripts in the field of Imaging Science. The journal aims to present new advancements in the field of Imaging Science and it’s relevant clinical information in an understandable and useful format. The journal is owned and published by the Scientific Scholar LLC, USA.
Our audience includes Radiologists, Researchers, Clinicians, medical professionals, students and Physicists.
JCIS has a highly rigorous double-blinded peer-review process that makes sure that manuscripts are scientifically accurate, relevant, novel and important. Authors disclose all conflicts of interest, affiliations and financial disclosures such that the published content is not biased.
In-house submissions that contain the work of any editorial board member, are not allowed to be reviewed by that editorial board member and all decisions regarding this manuscript are made by an independent editor. In addition, these manuscripts are reviewed by the two external reviewers. This is also disclosed in the published manuscript under the section of Conflict of Interest.
The editorial board comprises a panel of experts in Radiology/ Imaging Sciences from various countries to provide their expertise and guidance to the Editor-In-Chief in maintaining the clarity of content and focus of the journal’s purpose.

Vikram Dogra, MD, currently serves as a Professor of Radiology, Urology, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester, NY, USA, and an Affiliate Professor at Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY. He is also Director of Ultrasound. He is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and fellowship-trained in cross-sectional imaging. His imaging experience spans 29 years. His scientific interests include GU radiology and Ultrasound.
Dr. Dogra has received more than 35 awards, including the Laurence A. Mack Research Award from the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU) for original research work and Dr. Diwan Chand Aggarwal Memorial Oration Award, presented by the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association. He has also received awards for teaching and promoting Radiology across the globe.
He is currently on the editorial board of Ultrasound Quarterly, a journal published by the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. He has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM), a publication of AIUM. He has been invited eight times to be Guest editor for Radiology Clinics of North America and Ultrasound clinics. Dr. Dogra was a consulting editor to Ultrasound clinics, published by Elsevier Science and its founder member.
Dr. Dogra has published approximately 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 34 book chapters. Dr. Dogra has 250 scientific national and international presentations to his credit. He is a very sought after speaker at the national and international level. He has trained hundreds of radiology residents and many fellows in radiology. He has delivered 120 international lectures in various countries, including China, England, Egypt, Uganda, India, Turkey, Mexico, and Chile. He has 60 visiting professorships to his credit. At the national level (USA), he has delivered 95 lectures. He has mentored many residents, fellows, and junior faculty members.
Dr. Dogra has eight textbooks in Radiology to his credit, including Ultrasound Secrets published by Elsevier Science, ISBN 1-56053-594-6. And An Atlas of “Ultrasound-Guided Procedures.” Thieme Publishers, NY, USA. ISBN: 9781604061703. His latest book publication is Genitourinary Radiology: Male Genital Tract, Adrenal, and Retroperitoneum: The Pathologic Basis. Springer-Verlag, London Limited. Publication Date: 2013 | ISBN978-1-4471-4898-2 Edition: 2012 Dr. Dogra is a Fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (FAIUM), Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (FSRU), Society of abdominal radiology (FSAR), and European society of Genito-urinary radiology (FESUR).
He has been part of/or received 20 National grants for his research in Photoacoustic imaging and other research interests.
He currently holds two patents in his name in photoacoustic imaging and Robotically controlled hemostasis.
Dr. Dogra was awarded Honorary Membership of Indian Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (IFUMB) in Lucknow, India on 4th November 2017.
It is a peer-reviewed international journal with a double-blind review process. Its frequency of publication is continuous. The Journal of Clinical Imaging Science is published in E-Journal format and the journal is also available in print on demand.
A manuscript published in the Journal of Clinical Imaging Science can be read and downloaded by readers all over the world without any charges or fees. The author retains the copyright of the manuscript and the figures. This allows authors to extend their exposure in the world of medical research and get worldwide recognition for their work.
