As we celebrate our successes and strive for greater heights, we must thank the contributors, editorial board, reviewers, and section editors who have played a pivotal role in JCIS’s growth and impact. In this editorial, we recognize and celebrate their invaluable contributions.

We are delighted to share exciting news: Despite our obstacles, JCIS has made significant strides in enhancing its reputation and visibility within the scientific community. In 2022, we proudly secured our first impact factor of 0.9. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and quality research published in our journal. Looking ahead, we anticipate the assignment of an impact factor every year, further highlighting the excellence of our publications.

Valuing Our Contributors: JCIS owes its success to the researchers, scientists, and medical professionals who have chosen to publish their valuable work and insights with the JCIS. Our contributors have consistently delivered high-quality research papers, case studies, and reviews, expanding our understanding of clinical imaging science. We extend our sincerest gratitude for their dedication and collaboration.

Expanding Authorship and Reach: While we celebrate our achievements, we acknowledge the need to diversify our authorship and expand our reach beyond the United States. We encourage our esteemed board members from Europe and Africa to lend their expertise and help to promote JCIS within their regions. By fostering a global network of researchers, we can enrich the scientific discourse in clinical imaging science.

Exceptional Standards: A Testament to Rigor: With a rejection rate of approximately 61%, JCIS upholds high standards in manuscript selection. Despite this rigorous process, we publish around 85 manuscripts annually, showcasing exceptional research that finds a home in our journal. It is worth celebrating that the total downloads of manuscripts for 2022 reached an impressive count of 1,505,108, highlighting the impact and reach of our published research. I am very proud to share the top 20 Journals that have cited us recently.
